Is a tale worth telling.
Or some such nonsense.
I cannot wait for Sunday night’s premier of the 2nd Season of Game of Thrones. I haven’t looked forward to a show’s return this much since “Lost” in those final couple of years. But unlike “Lost”, I already know what’s going to happen in Game of Thrones. I’ve read the book this season will be based on, even the next one, which the show’s creators are planning to turn into seasons 3 and 4. But here I am, giddy with anticipation.
That’s a tale worth telling.
For the past week, I’ve been re-watching the first season. For most of the episodes this is my fifth or sixth viewing, but I’m still wrapped up in it. That’s great storytelling. I’ve done this with “Deadwood” and “The West Wing”. For me, the highest praise for a show is that you’re always ready to watch it again.
You’ll never hear me turn down an episode of “Game of Thrones”. Now grab your sword and your blanket, Winter is coming.
