I talked to a friend this morning who is not having the happiest of Christmas seasons. She even went so far as to say that she hates Christmas, because of how much hassle and hurt has come at this time of year for her in the past and (apparently) will still in the future.
I told her, she just needed to rekindle her Christmas spirit. I don't know if a silly little blog post can do it, but just in case. Here goes.
3 Ways to Cure the Christmas Blues
First, a classic (and likely forgotten) Christmas Carol. Ray Stevens original version of "Santa Claus is Watching You"
Next, the much better known, and I think cuter version from the 80's, 90's? I don't know. And it doesn't matter. This video is awesome. And sweet. And full of Christmas cheer.
Finally, one of the neatest videos of this kind I've ever seen. The "How to Date a French Girl" Google commercial from the Super Bowl was really cool. Dozens copied the basic idea. I think this one is the best. It's the reason for the season after all. Merry Christmas.
And to my friend, I hope (at least for a minute) this post made you as cheerful as me. ;-)
