25 Years, 22 Days, 22 Goals

In precisely 22 days I will turn 25. In honor of that milestone (cheaper insurance, yeah!) I've decided to list a goal each day that I hope to achieve in my next 25 years. I'm sort of tackling the easy stuff first, but as we near my birthday I'll wish for the tougher things. These are (for those of you interested) short posts in addition to (as opposed to instead of) my regular blogs, they will continue. Without further ado, here's goal number...

22. Play Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof." -- For those that know me personally, you know that I am semi-retired as an actor. I acted pretty much non-stop throughout junior high, high school and college, including two summers as a professional. I decided somewhere along the way that my passion just isn't for acting. I'd much rather direct and write, so that's where I turned my creative abilities. But, Tevye is one role that I will come out of retirement to play. I don't care if I have to go to some podunk town, and direct the show myself at the local community theatre, I'll play Tevye somewhere, someday. It is (in this fatboy's opinion) the greatest role for a heavy man, ever written (with Ben Franklin from "1776" a close runner-up).

Pssst...You only have 22 shopping days left before Joel's birthday. He likes fast food gift cards, DVD's and Nintendo...I'm just sayin'.
