We are All sinners redeemed, backsliding to glory
Megan Romer is a mom, a writer, an adult education instructor and a political troublemaker whose Twitter feed hasn’t gotten her fired yet but probably will someday. Megan is based in Lafayette, Louisiana but comes from Trumansburg, New York, and has been a Presbyterian, Methodist, Quaker, and then a Presbyterian again, though can’t promise that she won’t make that cycle a third, fourth, or fiftieth time.
Joel Sharpton is a husband and dad, podcast producer and consultant with a passion for social justice and a currently dormant writing problem. Based in Ruston, Louisiana and coming from a Free Will Baptist upbringing, Joel celebrates Sundays with Trinity United Methodist Church since 2013.
Together, they bring you a look at life as a Progressive Christian in the middle of the Bible Belt. We’ll discuss our own spiritual paths, hear from clergy and laity about their journeys and discuss the topics of the day as well as the issues that arise raising children as progressive Christians.
Megan Loves Jesus, But Cusses a little | Joel cries during the Hymns & HARRUMPHS during the sermon
Trying desperately to live the Love of Jesus in the middle of the Bible Belt, these two fully-affirming progressive Christians are raising kids, and raising hell on their way to Heaven.
